LESS CIVIL / BETTER OUTSIDE.
We need you.
I’m a runner having a go at building a brand. A singlet, a cap and sunnies. Before I make the first samples, I’d love your help choosing the details.

AI concepts for now. Talking to manufacturers. No physical samples yet.
THE FIRST KIT / YOUR SECOND OPINION
Which would you wear?
A few seconds is enough. Comment something like “Singlet B black · Cap C · Sunnies D2” on the Instagram post. Choose all three, or just the one you care about.

01 / SINGLET
Colour + logo placement.
A / hem LC
B / centre LC
C / right chest LC
Your pick: a letter + black or white.
Fabric + design details
- Proposed fabric
- Lightweight technical jersey, with a fine texture. Weight and softness will be chosen from real swatches.
- Rear vent
- A diagonal open mesh panel. The body hides most of it from the front when worn.
- Hem + seams
- An offset triangular cut, with light finishing and a soft mesh join to work through on the sample.

02 / CAP
Fabric appearance + branding.
A / smooth, side name
B / smooth, front LC
C / ripstop, side name
D / ripstop, front LC
Your pick: A, B, C or D.
Fabric + design details
- Proposed fabric
- Smooth woven nylon or fine nylon ripstop. These images compare the look; we’ll need swatches to judge the feel.
- Side vents
- Perforated side panels, with a curved brim and low profile.
- Adjustment
- A rear cord and toggle. A water-repellent fabric finish is being considered; this perforated cap is not a waterproof design.

03 / SUNNIES
Shape + colour + mark.
A / original black · B / slim black
C / original silver · D / slim silver
1 / LESS CIVIL · 2 / LC
Your pick: a pair + a mark, like D2.
Shape + design details
- Curved frame
- The original oval shape or a lower-profile, slimmer lens opening.
- Temples
- A thicker hinge flowing into slim arms, with proposed rubber grip areas.
- Still to develop
- Fit, lens choice, finish and testing. The concepts don’t demonstrate UV protection or compliance.
A closer look at the proposed details

AI design concepts, not finished products. Materials, fit and construction still need sampling and testing. Labels describe proposals, not proven performance.
BETTER OUTSIDE.
A break from
the usual routine.
That’s where LESS CIVIL comes from: running as a break from the usual routine.
I’m using AI to work through ideas while I get the first samples organised. Some details will change. If something looks off, or there’s something your current kit gets wrong, I’d like to hear it.
I want to make something people can get behind. Tell me one thing you’d change, and why it matters to you on a run.
